What is Pixtrim?
Pixtrim is an iPhone photo-cleanup app. It supports swipe-based review, month/album cleanup, exact duplicates and focused review of old screenshots, large videos and blurry-photo candidates.
Which iPhones can use it?
The current US App Store listing requires iOS 17 or later. Check the listing for current compatibility before downloading.
Is the app free?
The app is free to download and offers in-app purchases. Check the current in-app offer for paid access, limits, renewal terms and any trial eligibility. This site does not promise unlimited free deletion.
What do the swipe directions do?
Swipe right to keep a photo and left to mark it for deletion. Review the marked items and confirm through the operating system before they are removed.
Does it upload my photos?
The published app policy says photos and videos are processed on your device and are not uploaded. It separately describes usage analytics, masked session replays, crash reports and purchase services. Read the complete policy here.
Does removing a photo also remove it from iCloud?
With iCloud Photos enabled, normal library deletions synchronize to iCloud and your other connected devices. Pixtrim does not turn a synced deletion into a local-only action.
Can I recover a deletion?
iOS normally provides a limited Recently Deleted window, but recovery is not guaranteed. Permanent removal, expiry and account conditions—including an exceeded iCloud quota—can remove that option. Keep independent copies of important media.
Can Pixtrim compress videos or clean System Data?
These capabilities are not promised. Pixtrim’s large-video finder helps you review recordings for selected removal; it is not a compressor, antivirus or arbitrary system-file cleaner.
Does it automatically choose the best similar shot?
This site does not promise an automated best-shot or near-identical-photo selector. Use the manual swipe workflow to review similar scenes and the duplicate feature for repeated-copy cleanup.
Are the screenshot storage numbers results I should expect?
No. The supplied App Store artwork contains example library contents and estimates. Actual local space is controlled by iOS and can differ from a cleanup estimate.
Why do some screenshots and legal documents say Swipe Wipe?
Some supplied product artwork and the legal documents currently linked by the App Store retain that earlier product name. This website presents the current App Store brand, Photo Cleaner: Pixtrim, and preserves the full published legal text.
How do I manage a subscription or request a refund?
Use Apple’s subscription-management controls for an App Store subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles App Store payments and refund requests; our support page links to the relevant help.
